Bike Stolen Torquay

Did they cause damage to you garage as well?

Sorry to hear the news, as you say... there aren't too many pameras around so maybe it'll turn up - keep an eye on ebay for parts.

Sorry to hear that Nick, especially cruel after having to cut yesterdays ride short after drowning the bike.

I suggest putting cards in post office windows and the like.
'Pampera wanted condition unimportant, cash waiting'.

Do you have any pictures of it?

Maybe yesterdays drowning did you a favour then Nick because it usually starts easily.

I changed the oil on mine twice today, still coming out milky.

Bike recovered police rang and it was reported leaning against someone gate. Just collected it (5:30 ish) can't see any damage think some scrote must have seen me coming and going and helped themself. Nothing else was touched.

Now have 2 additional chains fitted to garage and an alarm.

Dunno if they tried to start it or if they just got fed up pushing it. Bad news is it must be someone local.

Now I like the look of that biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

If the garage is close enough a baby monitor is supposed to be pretty good (when you're home).

Any sound in the garage & you're aware straight away.

Nice one Nick, all is well that ends well, but i had to pull my self away from putting on a comment on here earlier as my sense of humour runs away from me some times, so i held back from saying i wished they nicked mine a year ago, they would of saved me a fortune! I dont think you and a few others would of found that funny a few hours ago!

I thought these were outlawed after a theiving scumbag 12 year old idiot managed to blow his hand off playing with one HE HAD STOLEN.

Would have been funny, (I laughed anyway), but the owner ended up in the dock, not the lowlife thief.

Glad you got it back.

I used to have the misfortune of living in Barton area of Torquay not far from the notorious Watcombe estate. I am sure there are decent people living there but there is also a large contingent of scum. There is also a lot of scouser dross there as well, remnants from scouser land that escaped to here because its warmer and easier to get drugs.

I got burgled 3 times in 5 years, the car got broken into 5 times. I had kids in the garden throwing rocks around. Things stolen from the garden

3 attempted burglarys.

I had a big male collie and a Doberman and an alarm and cctv. They drove illegal cars around, openly dealt with stolen goods and drugs, rode pitbikes around for hours on end and MX bikes with no plates. Underage Teenagers out late at night drinking. Police response? Don't make me laugh a bunch of complete useless overpaid tossers.

The Watcombe estate had gangs of feral kids running around, sometimes 50 in number.

I concur. My bike had, for ten years and 40,000 miles across four European countries, a watch velcroed to the headstock next to the speedo, until the day I went to visit a friend in Watcombe that is. What kind of idiot steals a cheap watch with a broken strap mounting and no strap? The kind that lives in Watcombe. (Watcombe is much nicer than Hele by the way, but my mate whose car window was smashed a couple of weeks ago by the low life who stole his MP3 player and CDs isn't consoled by that because he still lives in Watcombe).

Apparently most motorcycles are stolen from the home address. Locking it the garage isn't really enough!

A mate of mine lives in a bungalow in Newton Abbot and had a large road bike parked right out side his bedroom window. Both wheels had disc locks on and a cover secured over the bike. He has quite along drive way with 2 cars on it.

Woke up in the morning, bike, cover, gone. Never been seen again.

Just to top it off, he had a 6 month fight with the insurance company to agree a fair value! During the lengthy phone calls the insurance guy said they never pay the full insured value!

Which insurance company would that be then. Name and shame please.

i was always under the impression they only paid out 3/4 of the book price, minus your excess! (if you have one)

unless you have an agreed value of course!
i always quote book price value when they ask what the value of the bike is!

Nah, I thought they paid book price minus your excess.
The problem is that 'their' book is what the dealers use and 'our' book has trumped up values to make us feel good about our used cars' value (so we buy the book).
