More gas gas advice please.

Hi agin folks. Just after a bit more advice please. After all my highs and lows over the last few weeks I am now legal and on the road but still have my ongoing problem of the bike not firing off the button. And mt kickstart gear is slipping inside indicating that the teeth are shot> So I know the underlying prob is the valve clearances as many of you have suggested but I also wanted to fix the actual kickstart. I have found one on ebay from the states but its off an 03 model and my bike is an 02. So does anyone know if this will fit or des any others fit off another bike? Also I called thor and they lead me to believe that I must have the bike plugged in every 6 months to remap fuel mixture etc. Is this worth doing or is it a quick 60 sheets for them plugging it in? And finally can anyone recommend what is the best oil to use and how often I should be changing it? Thanks as always. John.
