Andy Around the World 2013

Hello everyone
In May of this year I will be setting off to do an Around the World trip on my Yamaha XT600E. Due to a clash of calendars with my brother, he wants to take 5 months and I can only afford 3.5, I will be doing this solo.
For those of you that do not know...I was the idiot that took a Ural Cross Sidecar Outfit across Mongolia in 2011, see www.joatmoa.com
I have decided to support a charity on my way and that charity is Riders for Health - now known as Riders. To this end I have put a plea for donations on my new website www.aatw2013.com. Could you all please put a link on your facebook page to my website to see if we can reach the measly target of £2600. This would be enough to keep a workshop and health worker "on the road" for a year. If we get to the target I'll try to double it.
Anyone donating £5 or more will see their name appear on my Support page.

Please note..I am not asking for sposorship for my fabulous holiday adventure and I am fortunate that I have had some support from individuals around the World. However, this is primarily an adventure for me that you can become a part of.
On my return to the UK I will be giving a presentation of my travels through, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania,, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, South Korea, Canada, Alaska, and finishing in Newfoundland, where I will be asking for donations to Riders for Health. For those that are unaware of Riders, they are a charity formed by motorcyclists to supply health workers in Africa with motorbikes to enable normal people, like you and me, to receive health care that we normal people take for granted in the Western World.

Ah - yes i see he is....

The Adventure is over. At approximately 0930 this morning in Almaty, the bike coughed into life and promptly burst into flames. By the time we had the fire out it is irrecoverable and so I've donated it to the local handyman.

The journey had been fantastic but in a way I'm glad it's over. It was going to be a long time away from my family and the Grandkids may forget who I am.

I am flying home with British Airways tomorrow (24th May) and should be back in Ivybridge at 10pm.
