WTF

Hmm, with the new colour scheme, when I log in the font is the same as the background (both white) so I can't see what I'm typing. And I'm, not a good typist!

Edit: I can see evryone's IP address too, awesome wink Never had that before.

is happening with the forum?

Clearly there has been an upset somewhere that deserves at least an explanation (but probably not a discussion about) but instead we're being treated to a change of scenery and what would appear to be a new annonamous "ADMIN" and no DHH

Please explain what's going on.

New look is reminiscent of open camouflage - a sort of musty slightly woody impact upon the aesthetic sensibility, redolent with undertones of obfuscation, modern yet with a hint of new look and something the fashionistas in the Gok Wan Entourage would approve. I'm with L'orange and yet I'm torn....art for arts sake....?

I don't recall saying that I don't like it, although I can't read it on my Blackberry without zooming in and having to scroll around the screen. What I asked was is what's going on, but that has been answered privately.

The forum is the same, just an attempt to jazz things up a bit.

If more people complain (after giving the changes a chance) than like it, it could always go back.

Or be diluted

Would a discussion at the monthly meeting (where perhaps only 10% of members turn up) achieve a majority choice that forum users would be happy with?

I say give things time to settle down but ideas & constructive criticism are usually welcome.

I like the look but am not a great fan of white on grey, although it works ok on the MXtrax forum, some forums have the opportunity of allowing users to pic their own skins, could we have the old one as an option you select? might be able to keep eveyone happy then! might be a good idea?

I must say that I do like the new logo pic thing.

Good to see a proper old-school air-cooled 2 fitty trail bike (with a nicely matured rider on board) at the front.

Not sure about that wild looking dude behind him though - bit of a menacing stance there weirdface.gif

I'd say that giving 10% of the membership a chance to air their opinion would be better than just doing it, a lot of things seem to be sorted behind closed doors it needs to change else you will drive more away

The colours def need changing - not easy to see on the iPad or iPhone. But if the change is also making the forum quicker then excellent news - just mellow the colours.

Maybe change the colours, but white on grey its awful it lacks the contrast for easy reading, and try it on a mobile phone or tablet its unreadable unless you zoom every page. Whoever the moron was who dreamt this change up wants shooting.

And as for the header titles Yellow on Mud background that just about sums it up ****te

Dont worry Peeps, this is just the new admin getting in touch with his emotional/artistic side, i'll work back thru the comments and we can round it up at the meeting, im sure the scheme will change tween now and then anyway.

So if there is something that clashes with a mobile device etc.. make a note and let me know.

I know the old colour scheme may have been a bit out dated , and agree nothing wrong with a change but this colour really does not work drab colours that do not show up very well

I thought I was somewhere else.

Bit like going out for the day and coming home to find all the furniture moved.

A change is as good as a rest though, and nice to see a quick response to constructive criticism on the colours and readable log in script.

Better perhaps to change and respond to peoples reactions than debate whether to change at all and perhaps never get around to it for fear of upsetting those who are comfortable with the status quo. If I had been asked I would have said no to change on the 'if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it' principle, but can't say I dislike it and it does give a fresh new feel to the place.

It can be taken out by some of the 'ad blocker' add-ons for most browsers.

I'll try some now.

As has been said - a change is as good as a rest.

It has been found impossible to please all the people all of the time!

I like the new scene.

Well done Admin. 858216.gif
