In September 2012 we started Mia at the time aged 6 with Exeter Eagles BMX team.

After months of hard work by Mia and nights of standing around in freezing tempetatures whilst watching Mia train it all paid off today

Mia had her first race, now aged 7 at Paignton.

We entered he the novice section where there were 19 riders and Mia was one of only 2 girls in the 7-9 category.

Mia had 5 races and finished in no lower than 3rd before the final where she finished 1st biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Well done, Mia. You must be very proud. I wonder if she aspires to have an engine when she is older?

We started Mia on just a standard BMX but really its too heavy.

There are a lot of clubbs in Devon, let me know where you are and I can tell you your nearest?

We brought a second hand racing bike which was a year old for £150 but they can be £1000+ no

The kit is the same as ours in terms of pads etc....

A good shop to go to is Green Machine in Kingsteignton.

Or come to Exeter and meet up as your lad will get his first night FOC too see if he likes it smile
