as some of you may know the bank holiday is upon us in 2 weeks time, protyre will be up at the paignton bike show with a michelin/protyre stand and all are welcome to come and say hello. we will be doing tyre pressure and safety checks aswell.
im just wondering it the devon trf have any sort of stand that they will be taking up to talk to any rider that may be looking for a bit of enduro/greenlaning fun.
if not, im will be happy to but up some sort of sandwhich board(if one can be made available) on the stand as i will be takeing my bike up to promote mx and enduro tyres, and i will be happy to answer questions people may have reguarding joining the TRF.
I was wondering when the good old BMAD talks would start. Normally the person who raises the question ends up doing 80% of the workload. We have tried to share this in the past but it hasn't been easy to cover all 3 days. I know we've also previously been given a free pitch (in a more remote part of the show). I didn't previously post as I'm not sure i can help too much as not sure how much racing troy has on that weekend - but if Trf did have a stand I'd give a few hours (or even a half day) if I could. As I'm in Paignton I would also be prepared to take my gleaming bike down for showing (or better still get it megger muddy first).
So would be good to know if dtrf plan to do something themselves. If not I'm sure your offer would be most welcome Dave - and I'm sure we have a display board and leaflets etc too.
Il be attending the paigton bike nights on my road bike, I wonder if theres any avenue for spreading the words about the trf down there? flyers to riders who come in one night handed to them at the gate. Sorry but il be sunning myself in Jerez ahead of the spanish moto gp on the bh weekend.
I will have a trade stand at the show so if there is any flyers, membership forms or other promotional material available just bring it to our stand. Traveldri-Plus will be in our own unit and hopefully Sam Manicom will be with us for the weekend book signing. Les.
This used to come under the PR banner but was always organised & run by 'local' people.
Gruff does PR now, along with ROW, Lane clearing & Police Liason.
After A2E maybe thoughts can turn to this but if anyone wants to run with it i'm sure Gruff will be happy & you'd be bound to get some help on the day(s).
Pretty sure we have a gazebo, table, banner, advertising signs etc but i'm not sure where they're stored.
