i have found that movie maker is an ideal program to start off with,(i still use it) mine used to crash occasionally but hasn't for a while now. so not sure if they have fixed a few of the bugs with it!

X3 .... I bought mine on Pete's advice. fantastic piece of kit. Once you get the hang of the basics it is easy to use. I still need to experiment with all the other features, of which there are many. Mine came second hand from ebay at about £25.
Try and get one that has the key code ! It makes life so much easier.
