Classic Twinshock Scramble and Trials - Dorset Penselwood, Near Wincaton

If anyone fancies a different day out this weekend, why not venture over to Penselwood near Wincanton to support Devon Dan, Lost, John Heale, maybe Grouty and myself. The nearest postcode to the venue is BA9 8LJ. I have free entry for anyone who wishes to volunteer as my 'pit bitch' It is a great craic if you have never been to a twinshock event.

I think the "this weekend" bit gives it away Doug

I always go up on the saturday afternoon. The pits are small, and it helps to get there early to get a good spot.

That yellow bike falling at the start is me, a pretty impressive high-side if you ask me! my front wheel was clipped by Keith Taylor riding another Husky 250 - better seen here from Lost's video

I soon got up and flew past him and a few others before the bike died a few hundred yards later, I've just found the prob which was a sticking choke - easy fix!  I'm riding 717 in a black top and blue helmet

I have now - now I didnt need to be reminded of the rope incident but that outside line might have looked good but that pile of hay offered no traction - I could hear the laughter from the commentator!

Here are a few videos as seen from my helmet cam:

Featured in the clips are Devon Dan #717 and Lost #351

Unfortunately John Heale, #670 was racing immediately after our race and I never got to see him cry
