help on some green lanes

Anyone have some advice please. Me and a few friends are green lanning for 3 days at the end of september, the end of the first day and the beginning of the second day will take in parts of ivybridge, south brent, buckfastleigh and dartington area. We have not done any lanes out this way, we are looking to give the bikes a really good work out and would appreciate some advice on technical lanes to do out this way. I have all the lanes on my sat nav so just need some advice on lanes and numbers please. Also has anyone done 202-171 is it really 8.36 km long and any good? and is 202-142 any good.

Hope you can help.

Steve

Look closely at your map and you will find some lanes cross more contour lines than others. 154, 306, 063 and 099 spring to mind.

202-171 is 1.11 km long, three ruts, very flat and dead straight, ish.

202-142 is very dry at the moment, the submarine pen is barely a muddy patch hardly likely to fill your airbox with water, and good practice for riding ruts hidden in long grass just now.

Cheers Pete, did not think to look at contour lines, will have a closer look. Thanks for the advice. Steve
