Show us your ford or river crossing pics!

There are masses of ford and river crossings so I thought a "Show us your ford or river!" would be interesting. Heres one of mine when I had the 660 Tenere crossing the river at Meavy near Yelverton

You got me thinking now Jack!!! disbelief

My pics aren't all that well organised and I thought it was Cornish lane ref 190-607 running from Buttsbear NW to Thurlibeer (very near Red Post). Can anyone else confirm please?

Manaton? The temporary ford that was created when the heavy plant was clearing the woods as it couldn't cross the small stone bridge. This was bouldered-up each side of the river to prevent people from trying to cross aww

This ford is part of a regular route for us Plymouth boys if we're headed in that direction biggrin

Thats the ford with 'The door to nowhere' (someone may post a pic that illustrates what I'm referring to)

Strong memories of being attacked by a swan in the middle of the mud flat whilst walking across to check the depth while out exploring alone, very difficult to run in bike boots and deep mud, but with that incentive - no problem! Too busy to take pictures you understand.....

Doug, that crossing you posted looks deeper than when us Devon boys visited up your way and you said it was.too deep to cross.

True, but the local farmer filled in the holes in the ford over the dry summer period, in fact we road over it last sat and its very shallow at the moment, one good strom will wash out the stone again making it deep.
