Push bike. (Bought one today so search over)

My daughter managed to have her Trek Mountain bike stolen from outside Bristol Uni libbery. The scrotes stood a knackered bike in front of it, cut her lock (not an easy job), then take her bike and leave the scrap bike in it's place, with the remains of her lock on it.

So, has anyone got a cheap push bike, suitable for a 5'9 rider. Any style, she just needs a set of wheels. I can collect from anywhere in Devon/Somerset and maybe even into the dark county of Cornwall.

Cheers

Rob.

RE: Push bike.

I picked up a good bike for £10 from Refurnish at Totnes. Pumped up the tyres and sprayed WD40 on the rusty chain and it was good to go.

Newton Abbot recycling centre sells them for £5. Doesn't usually take much fettling to make them roadworthy.

Or try Steptoes in Marsh Barton. It's the actual Devon CC run recycling shop, they always have bikes

Also places like Freecycle, or if you do the facebook thing there are countless selling pages where you can plonk up a wanted ad (look up local places and selling, we have thing like cullompton selling etc but there are shed loads)

Lot of people happy to help themselves at the mo, sad times.

Hi Longman

I'm afraid she has sold the bike back in the summer as it wasn't being used, but give these guys a try N E Tingz, Blackboy road

Exeter 01392 439666

Always got bikes in stock some are a little tatty but they also get good ones in there too, prices start from around a tenner.

I tried Rubber Dub an Ting, no good.

But Harty's suggestion to try Steptoes was a good shout ! Got an 18 speed twin suspension bike for 20 nicker . All works fine, with a bit of rust to ward of scum thieves.

Cheers short Dudes wink
