Next Step up for Kids Bike.

My daughter who's 8 has had great fun on a little Honda QR 50 rev and go.  Similar to the Yamaha PW 50 but shes getting to the stage where she's out growing it.  What's a good step up bike?  Its only for a bit of fun but I'm guessing the time is nigh to introduce gears and a clutch. Any suggestions please?

Cheers

Hi, a TY80 is a superb little bike, very small and easy to ride yet will cope with a (sensibly!) sized adult.

For Troy I went from a CRF50 to a CRF80. These are very tame 4-strokes and the 80 is a semi auto with a 4 speed (all up) clutch less gearbox. This is a good intro to gears without worrying about clutching at this stage.
When she's 9 or 10 then move up to a full manual.

Blimey I had forgotten that the TY existed! Love the photo Viking!

The CRF might not be a bad option being semi-automatic.  Alternately she could have my TTR 250 allowing me to upgrade to a nice, new shiny bike.  Plenty of growing room I reckon with the TTR!

Thanks for the pointers - will start scouring EBay,
