police clamp down on number plates

Heads up all, the law pulled Graham after a Mot and cautioned him for a smaller than lawful plate also font was not acceptable (3D) and it was not vertical to the road, PC said they are having a clamp down in the area. Graham was pulled in Exmouth so not sure how big the area is. The most worrying aspect is it seems possible to be given 3 points on the spot.

So the moral seems to be keep it looking like a normal numberplate with a normal font and at an angle at which it can be read and you would be unlikely to get pulled.

I am astonished that I have never been pulled for having an illegible plate covered in mud though.

my misses got pulled a little while back for not having a properly displayed no. plate and got a non endorsable fine. when i called to pay the ticket i was told the ticket had to be cancelled as the offence was endorsable with 3 points on your licence, as the wrong ticket was issued at the time of offence.
so be careful !
