A373 Honiton-Cully road.

Did anyone else have the joy of driving on it this morning..? I was congratulating myself on getting to work about 100 yards too early..furious wrecked Arai, holed Goretex jacket and trousers and some nice bruising. Bike came off better than me.  Phoned SWH to tell them they ought to get some signs out and was politely told that it wasnt down to them but they would pass my message on to Eddc..?? An hour later and someone had put some signs out..not a happy bunny. Should it at least have been gritted..?!

It wasn't as graceful as the Pembrey 'dismount' Scoff.

Old Chard road was an ice rink this morning - no sign of any gritters but then the Council has no money?

Didn't see any gritted roads around Plymouth on my way to work this morning, the councils seemed to have missed the forecast last night!

Couple of cheek twitching moments.

check yer policy, might well be covered (if you clicked/ unclicked the right box) worth digging out the paperwork and a phonecall.
or buy yer gear from Aldi then only cost £100 to replace everything!
That ice was proper nasty.

Years ago I used to work between Awliscombe Village and Hembury Fort, if there was ever going to be ice anywhere it was on that road, remember once going to a nasty smash bloke in a BMW estate following a lorry, the lorry stopped  and the car which was only traveling slowly hit the ice and then gained speed sliding downhill on the ice and went under the back of the lorry,  and we know the car was going slowly as a police car was following him and said there was nothing he could do to slow down or stop once he hit the ice.
