After weeks of scouring Evilbay / various forums and looking at some proper litter, i gave up straining my eyes in the search for my nicked XR's replacement.  Out on my travels with work last week, driving through Royston Vaysey and i see this little fella on the back of a trailer. Knock on a few doors and find the owner, he had just picked it up from having a years mot and tax whacked on it and it was going on the 'bay that night...oh no it wasn't.. biggrin

Not been used for a year, needs a bloody good clean and a bit of fettling. Got a nice bash plate courtesy of Mr.Sussex on it, heated grips (maybe going) and a few other bits.

Not had time to get out on it yet, hopefully it'll be a worthy replacement for my much-loved XR.no Still no trace of it but i did get given the name of a scrote in Ottery who allegedly has / had it, but not got any further..if anyone wants his name for research purposes..pm me.evileye

Cheers chaps, got a nasty knock when killing the engine..research has led me to believe its the sprag clutch..could do with having a chat to a fellow owner about a few things.

Oh No the sprag clutch? before you jump in to that, they all make a loud clunk when turning off especially when they are still revving. If the clunk turns into a bang that makes you wince, then it is a new sprag clutch time. Lord TTR will help you outsmilesmilesmile

Love my ttr, got the old one and have rebuilt the engine, bored out to the max and leave bigger bikes for dead in the lanesbiggrinbiggrin Good choice of bikesmilesmile

Welcome to TTR world!

Don't recognise the TTR as ever having passed through my hands. Is it a 93/4 model with blue plastics added to update it perhaps? 

Don't ignore a worn sprag clutch coz it will come back and bite you in the wallet! 

Maybe see you over on the TTR forum at some stage wink

So obviously you didn't buy it off the guy with the brushes Is your nose ok?

Can you remove part of the sprag and use as kick only until its sorted.
Were swinton OK in the end my mate is having problems with MCE dragging their heels.
