Devon Dirt bike ride, starts at Ashburton on May 11

See here

But not dirt bikes as we know 'em!

It's a CTC event wink

The point of posting this is that we need to be aware if we are out and about on the lanes in that area on May 11th....

TTR

PS Might dig out the mountain bike and have a go myself biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin  not.....

So if you plan to ride that day these lanes are on the route in this order.

191-105
191-088
191-112
191-080
191-075
191-076
191-072
191-077
191-091
191-101
191-089
191-087
191-105

Probably best to avoid the area as you will meet hundreds of cyclists, including me!

You are welcome to join us Brian.....

Imagine the comments if we planned to take 200 trail bikes down 13 lanes in one day?

Some pics of the lanes after the passage of them all would be interesting to see - and record so we don't get the blame for the ensuing damage!!!

This years route is the same as last year and you would not know the 350+ riders who entered last year had ever used it. If it rains all week that may change. I look forward to comparing before and after videos.

Much fun was had by 400 or so riders who braved wild Dartmoor weather on a route changed at the lst minute due to road closure and forestry issues, and again at the eleventh hour due to NIMBY parish council whinging about using the 100% legal bridleways through Lustleigh Cleave, so diverted down the Old Manaton road after climbing onto the moor past the medieval village and Hound Tor, passing Jays grave and eventually looping around Grimspound. Not just trail riders who have the antis up in arms.
