Hi all, well looks like my KLR is about to be moved on, I feel I need a bit more junk in my trunk so was going to venture more on the black stuff this summer. Anyone have a nice old Bandit (GSF600) so similar knocking around? I like the upright riding position so nice as it is the ZZR600 in the for sale section isn't for me.
Have a think, ask a mate and let me know, budget around a grandish dep on machine.

Worth a lot more but all I need to but my mates 1200 Bandit at mates rates.
I do like the look of those but have a budget and like the sit up and beg position.

Offered you two, no clip ons and a nice upright riding position, but you weren't interested.
Why don't you rent motorcycles? Probably cheaper in the short term than buying. Most people keep hire cars longer than you do your purchases.
I quite often pass Bandits on it. It is the only bike I have owned which I have not had to reposition the bars and levers to get a comfy riding position. Having gone to look at NC30/FZR/GSXRR/CBRRR's I found their riding positons extremely uncomfortable indeed. Ow wrists, ow neck, ow ankles, ow back! The footpegs are further forward and the bars are higher on the SF than any of the aforementioned. I love the comfy seat, (recovered by the chap on Newton Abbot quay). Massive storage space under the seat and copious luggage hooks make it a very practical machine. I have replaced the 50p bulb which illuminates the speedo three times at roughly five year intervals along with a couple of headlight bulbs, but nothing else has ever gone wrong with it.
for a 400, it's a little bit.
Bandit I looked at couple of days ago had 14000 miles now that's a mileage I'm happier with (rest of bike a little tired though)
Lots of Super Fours go round the clock. Shims checked less than 1000 miles ago and no adjustment needed. Carbs balanced. Still running sweet as ever.
Very few one owner full service history machines available.
If you want something owned by lots of people who would rather buy another bike instead of servicing the one they have that is up to you.
