Aprila dorsoduro 750

I'm looking at the above named bike it's a 2008 model low mileage etc. Whats the thoughts on this bike reliability of the engine and the bike overal in general. Anybody own or owned a model that can offer any advice on things to look out for will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Mark

Mark,

My son has had one now for 18 months and is very pleased with it.

He has ridden it to work as a commuter bike (10miles on A37) and we have done a bike trip around wales (last year).   This of course is in addition to the odd ride to Poole Quay bike night and weekend ride outs.   Overall, I think he has put about 3000 miles on it.

It has plenty of performance for him.   The top speed is not very impressive but to be honest I personally think that is better.   It has awesome acceleration thanks to massive amounts of torque.

The only criticism is the small fuel tank.   I think it is about 9.5 litres which gives a range of just about 100 miles - obviously this depends on how your riding style.   He pushes it pretty hard sometimes and still manages to average between 45 - 53 mpg.

He has the factory version with Brembo brakes - absolutely amazing stoppers.   The suspension is quite hard and he sometimes complains of a rather harsh ride.   However, he is only about 11 stone and we think it is a bit oversprung (he is looking at getting the suspension professionaly tuned).

I hope this helps.   If you want anymore information do get in touch.    Always happy to help a fellow bikersmile.

Cheers

Paul
