RIPAULTS ARK LES 3000 PR1 crimper - or similar!

I am trying to get my bro' a decent set of terminal crimpers. All the ones that come with terminal kits are flimsy and narrow in the jaws.

This is the one I use and I realise it's vintage now but is there a similar solid built crimper around that compares please?

Just missed one on eBay no

That's a different crimper JT, the one Brian has folds the brass crimp over on itself like the oem connectors. Marplins sell the crimps not sure about the crimper, I think I got mine on the net somewhere! I'll have a look.

Thanks for the feedback guys - much appreciated!

Odd that trying to find a new option as simple as my old crimpers gets to be so expensive. Not sure where to go to look at these things in the flesh so to speak. Maybe I stick to trying to find vintage confuse

What type of connectors are you looking to crimp, there's a fair selection on eBay?

Hi Dan

They will mostly be used on Yamaha m/c wiring connectors including the terminals in block connectors and Japanese bullet connectors as in pics below.

Good choice of sensibly priced crimpers there - thanks Dan!

I just pulled out my rarely used crimpers from various dusty recesses and had forgotten what I had disbelief

I think I will let Trev have the yellow pair on the left and see how he gets on whilst continuing to look at eBay for a used set of Ripaults PRis wink
