Insurance Time

That time of year again

Carol Nash seem to want to rip me off, Bennetts seems a lot cheaper, Go Compare sites seem dead cheap but lots don't do multi bike policy's. Who do you use????

e-Bike - 4 bikes and three drivers £190. No admin charge for changing bikes mid term.

Shame the customer service part of their website had been down for over 6 months no

I recently moved from Carol Nash to Bennets.
I found Carol Nash have all sorts of things included which make it great value if you need those extras, if not then just get basic cover somewhere else and save a few bob.

Totally agree Rich they wouldn't drop any of the extras which like you say is ok if you want them but I just wanted something basic as I already have a lot of the extras through other things

JT did you have to ring up about multi policy cause when I taped in my details I couldn't see an option for a second bike?

I have a thumbs down for Carol Nash as well. Just canceled insurance on one bike of a two bike policy and the £27 refund was swallowed up by a £40 admin charge!!

Will be looking elsewhere at renewal time.

I just had a nightmare trying to get a classic trials bike insured, mostly because I was honest and declared that it had been modified, if you don't you risk riding without insurance. Carol Nash wouldn't add it to my multi bike policy, even though they took the 77 yz 250 without batting an eyelid! Bike sure came up trumps in the end for just over £100

Just renewed mine as well. Just the CRF250X on it.

Was with Bennetts, who I've used many times in the past. However, the renewal seemed to be creeping up (only £85 still, but that's not the point) and when I called them I was informed my excess was £500 - not sure how that came about.

So instead, I've renewed with the AA of all people. £73 fully comp, £200 excess (no voluntary), plus should get £18  back through Quidco, so £55 all-in. I figured that the AA should provide a professional service. I hope I'm not wrong!

Definitely worth using one of the cashback sites such as Quidco, I've had over £600 back already, just for buying the stuff I would be buying anyway! Find out more about it here.
