Devon TRF meeting 9th June 2015

Dear All

John Vannuffel, Technical Director and Membership Director from National TRF will be attending the meeting on 9th June to provide some feedback regarding recent events at a National Level and provide answers (as best he can) to any questions people may have.

Feel free to come along and hear what he has to say, and air your views (should you wish- it's not compulsory smile)

Sean

I would have liked to go tonight but have to visit father in law in hospital.

Hope there's a decent turn out.

A worthwhile evening & good to see a representative from our National TRF.

I had previously read his "introducing" page and also something of his route into motorcycling

& it was interesting to meet the man himself.

I may have laboured on about communication as i did feel our group had been cast off, so i hope my point came across. I also mentioned about the quarterly trip to TRF Towers for more communication, hopefully that system will be restored.

If what I saw last night is what the national TRF is all about then next year I want my £45 to go just to the Devon group or I will be stopping my rolling membership and just riding the lanes. crycrynonodisbeliefdisbelief

Judging by some of the posts on here last year, I'd say the feeling was mostly mutual. It appeared to me like Devon group wanted to be part of the national body but not too integrated. Rather like the UK & Europe.wink

Just out of interest, what is the general feeling now, do we need a referendum and if so will it before 2017?

Above was just my personal opinion, not willing to go into it further, if you wanted to hear what national had to say then you should of gone to the meetingsmilesmile

Im not surprised you laboured on about communication Doug, the Meet the Directors email gave less than 24 hours notice of where they intended to be, and hence I missed it.
Im also glad someone has raised a question about the venue for the Conference. Im sure theres a more convenient location for Group representatives than the centre of central London. Driving, congestion charges and parking in central London can be so frustrating.
