Does anyone have an old screen hanging around that they no longer need.

looking to make a spoiler/wind deflector for my transalp.

I gave one to Rich I think a while back, of which didn't use for his DRZ in the end. See if he's still got it

You'd just got a new dog if I remember rightly (the current one) - does that jog any memories?

You did say that you probably had a prospective buyer... maybe you sold it?

Plexiglass or acrylic, that's what you need.

Have a look at this thread. It's from a U.S.A but you get plexiglass and acrylic here.

Ive got an old transalp screen if Dan doesn't find his (or indeed you fancy two) trannies are great bikes but cr@p screens.

THe  generic material you require is Polycarbonate, this is what they make bullet proof screens and the windows in diving helmets  from, and its not very expensive  The best stuff  is called Lexan.   PLexiglass is a polycarbonate, just another trade name for the same stuff,  however for gods sake do not use acrylic you do not have a clue what it is and most acrylics shatter into sharp spears on impact, and the colder it gets the more easily it shatters

 ive got a transalp,screens are rubbish as you say, got the biggest screen u can get for it and now it hits my lid, got a small spoiler but thats about as much use as a chocolate fireguard!

Leave it with me as will be a couple of days, its a dark tint, Ialso bodged one on my klr with a saftey visor this is also now just getting dusty. Ill photograph both on thursday

ah, I did fit it to my DRZ and it looked pretty good I thought. I never tried it out though, might have buffet'd like crazy for all I know...
