I just use one of these as there lightweight and you can fit the body armour and layers underneath. As Im green laning it gets snagged etc and I dont spend loads as it can get wrecked easily. There lined and heavy duty enough but under £30
I still use an RST Enduro Jacket which I bought for about £70 ages ago. It lost it's waterproofing a while back, and won't hold any wash-in or spray on waterproofing treatment, but it's still reasonably tough and copes with brambles and offs . I'll be looking to replace it soon with another, hopefully the waterproofing aspect has improved.
