Well its now official motorcyclists are not welcome in Beer thanks to Cllr Chubb, The couple who live part time in Beer Court and block the pavement with their chairs, umbrellas and flower pots, and Andrew Ennis from, EDDC who has gone back on his word to discuss the matter with Jilly Elston of Jurassic Coast Bikers. For the last couple of months he has been agreeing to meet her, however as soon as she wanted to meet him, silence he will not respond to email or phone calls. So apart from grabbing him by the throat EDDC refuses to discuss the matter. So if you are coming to Beer you may be able to park on the beach or if there is space in the central car park, however beware there have been a spate of thefts and damage to bikes parked in the official bike parking spot
It is however safe to obstruct the EDDC owned bit of pavement with the monstrosity shown in the photo, The only course left open is for everyone who has been affected by this to complain in writing to both EDDC and Beer Parish council about the planter and more importantly the blockage of the pavement outside Beer Court, by Deck Chairs and Chimmney pots used as planters which seriously reduce the width of the pavement.
What would really help the cause is to find out if the couple in Beer Court are related in any way to Cllr's Chubb or Ennis or have any other connection with EDDC. Something stinks about this and finding out what may help to get the decision reversed

This has appeared on the bike space in Beer, no doubt another will follow. Andrew Ennis who asked to meet me when I was next down is now not replying to my emails, so my friends at this point I give up! At least we bikers will always be decent people who will always do our best to help others, the couple who live in Beach Court and everyone else involved in this, not so, but then they have to live with that. I feel for the people of Beer, shopkeepers, restaurants, the pubs as they are bound to lose money over this, but they know I have tried and have been lovely to me. Ride safe everyone x

As far as we are aware, the piece of roadway from the bottom of the slope leading towards Duckys Café, is the access to the Café so parking is possible there, however Beer Sailing Club have right of access to the beach and their wooden trackway leading to the area where boats are kept on the beach. Therefore it would seem that parking would be possible between the entry onto the wooden trackway and Duckys Café.
The Carpark outside the fish shop is the property of the fish shop for short term parking for their customers. The car parking area below that in front of the Beer Heritage centre is the property of the East Devon Fishermans Association, for carparking of customers going out on angling trips. If there is parking space it is chargable there is a box on a post to pay.
Below that the yellow hashed area and the roadway to the left. is EDDC and is for deliveries and permit holders only, as far as we are aware there are only a couple of permit holders permitted to park there. Parking of anything on the beach without a permit is not permitted, these days you even have to have a permit to leave a kayak or surfboard on the beach. For years these were kept behind the beach huts but no more EDDC now remove them if they are left.
