just had bike serviced and beta are replacing diodes as there is a fault and can fail, resulting in oil pump to stop working correctly. It would be advisable to contact a dealer and check if needs doing.
It's a well documented fault and includes the capacitor as well. Both will suffer from corrosion as they are inadequately waterproofed. It pays to keep a close eye on them and do your own waterproofing
