Im busy improving my garage workshop at the moment and want to do something about the rough dusty concrete floor (not paint) Im thinking of the hard pvc tiles from Bigdug, or possibly a floating plywood floor. Has anyone tried those tiles or have any other suggestions? The garage is 6mx5m.

Carpet soaks up oil and is kind to the knees. Why suffer a cold hard floor when you don't have to. I considered paint but couldn't be bothered to seal the concrete.
I used all of the off cuts from a new carpet for my flat and only changed it when a neighbour replaced theirs and threw out an old one large enough to do a double garage.
paint is out for me too, the old floor has absorbed a lot of oil over the years and Ive added to it! Half of my bikes are off road, so dirt is often an issue, (although I do have a garage hoover!) but I dont think I could cope with 1970s swirly carpet again!! Am possibly thinking - carpet tiles - so they could be an option,
Celotex and chipboard wouls also work but thats going to be about £600, depending on the thickness I use. Thats about the same as the Bigdug PVC tiles.
Ill see what carpet tiles are about. Has anyone tried the PVC tiles?

I found stable floor mats turned over with the bubbles facing up to be excellent, warm and robust really heavy duty rubber and easy to clean , Trago had them a while back not sure if they still have them, take some man handling mind, very heavy when rolled.
Am possibly thinking - carpet tiles - so they could be an option,
