Slippery Sam

Evening all. A friend has asked me if I know of a lane that goes by the name of Slippery Sam. I have to admit I habe heard this lane mentioned in the past but I have no idea which lane it is. Can anyone enlighten me please (lane ref No. and location please) Thanks in advance.

202-053 at Rocombe.

A quite famous section in the Torbay or Exeter Trials.

Thanks Ray. I'm sure I should recognise that lane from the video clip but I dont tbh. I'm sure I've ridden it countless times too! Must be having a senior moment hahaha

I've looked on the Google Street view images and I know the lane but we dont often ride it tbh as there's usually farm equipment blocking the SW entrance (although I'm sure a bike could squeeze through) We continue on to the more challenging lane with the barn at the bottom (face palm and laughing emoji)

Yes, the farmer Paul Stoneman accidentally leaves his equipment blocking the bottom of the lane, but always leaves enough room for bikes. It's the noisy night time 4x4 users he has issues with.

He removes all the obstructions for the trial and operates as the recovery driver in his tractor.

Officially Rocombe Hill, but some say Dairy after the former Rocombe Ice Cream dairy at the bottom. A local at the Stokeinteignhead ROW meeting called it Redlands Hill.
