John H is planning to speak to the landowner on the eastern side of 202-004, to if he has a tractor that could pull the rootball out of the way. If not, I'm sure I could reduce it in size to make it passable.
And on the subject of lanes in this area, there are currently drainage works taking place at the northern end of 202-005 (GRMUID 5522) where it meets the A383, but you can still access via the tarmac service road that runs parallel with the Ashburton Road.
Three tonne Tirfor lifting winch which doubles in tonnage for dragging
snatch block 8 tonne
2 x slings 3 tonne
2 x 5 tonne slings unused
Too many chain saws to list
Felling bar plus iron bar for prying
A standing tree could be used as an 'A frame' for lifting/hauling stumps over bank
3 weeks time sounds good, this will also enable DCC PRoW to act as Neil has reported this into PRoW
Having local landowners on board would be a huge advantage with access to adjacent fields, trees, limbs could be sliced smaller for easier lifting/moving
Thanks to all for their much needed support & enthusiasm its great to see
