Any one know how high the seat on a 1997 Suzuki DR250 is? How does it compare to, say, a TTR? Is the DR any good for a newby?

Can anyone give me some advice on a small framed and lighter bike please? I've been looking at the Yamaha TW or the Suzuki Van Van, with thoughts to modify both a little. I've had a XR 250 and loved that bike but it was a little heavy after i dropped it, normally in a hedge! Any ideas? Thanks, Phil.

I have been using a MT43 on the front of my TTR. Last time out I lost the front end more times than I was happy with.
